Common questions
How much does lane rental typically cost?
Standard lane rental fees generally range from $15 to $30 per hour for a single shooter. Additional shooters sharing the same lane typically pay an extra $10 to $15 per hour, and many facilities offer monthly memberships starting around $35.
Can I rent firearms if I do not own one?
Yes, most ranges offer handgun rentals for $10 to $15 and long gun rentals for $15 to $25 per session. To prevent suicide incidents, most US ranges enforce a strict policy requiring solo renters to bring a personal firearm or visit with at least one partner.
What ammunition restrictions apply at indoor shooting ranges?
Indoor facilities usually restrict steel-core, armor-piercing, tracer, and unjacketed lead ammunition to prevent damage to backstops and reduce lead dust. Most indoor ranges allow handguns up to .44 Magnum and rifles up to .308 Winchester, though ammo used in rental guns must be purchased on-site.
