A star rating won't tell you if a range teaches beginner safety courses or concealed-carry certification, or just rents lanes for open shooting — that's buried in a class schedule most ranges keep on a separate page. We checked each range's own calendar or class listing to confirm training is actually offered, not just implied.

Ask if the class fee includes range time and ammo. A basic pistol or concealed-carry course usually runs 2-8 hours and $50-150, but some ranges bundle in lane rental and a set number of rounds while others bill those separately — the cheaper listed price isn't always the cheaper total.
